Welcome to the Poole-Wau Partnership website
Our Appeal for the St John's College extension was launched in January 2022.

We are a registered charity which has linked the Anglican Churches of Poole & North Bournemouth Deanery with the Diocese of Wau, South Sudan since 2011. Our principal aim is to support the work of Wau Diocese in all its different forms, including financial support for practical projects. The Partnership was formally established in February 2011, inspired by a visit to the UK in 2010 by Rt Rev Moses Deng Bol, Bishop of Wau (now also Archbishop of Northern Bahr el-Ghazal province).
Poole-Wau Partnership aims to share our lives with our sisters and brothers in the Diocese of Wau - by means of prayer, by e-mail, by visiting when circumstances allow, all of which can work both ways; and by financial aid which is inevitably one way.
Prayer has always been an important part of the life of the Poole-Wau Partnership and we hold monthly Prayer Meetings as well as emailing a monthly Prayer Letter. We also keep our supporters informed by means of an emailed bi-monthly Newsletter. If you would like to be put on the emailing list to receive the Prayer Letter and the Newsletter regularly, please use this link and fill in the contact form at the bottom of the page: https://www.poolewaupartnership.com/newsletter.html
PWP has raised over £350,000 during its first twelve years to support Wau Diocese. We depend principally on support from the 21 Anglican churches of Poole & North Bournemouth Deanery, as well as one-off and regular giving from our supporters. We also carry out a limited number of fundraising events, including the annual 7-mile ‘Holes Bay Walk’, and on a few occasions have launched appeals to raise money for particular projects in Wau, the latest of which is the new building at St John's College: https://www.poolewaupartnership.com/appeal.html.

I’m impressed with all that you do, your continuing commitment to St John’s College, and your enthusiasm for the Diocese of Wau and the internal province of Northern Bahr el Ghazal.
Revd Canon Ian Woodward, Chair of the Salisbury-Sudans Link, June 2023.
The Deanery Synod recognises the valuable work done by our Deanery link with South Sudan, the Poole-Wau Partnership, over the past ten years, reaffirms its support for the Partnership and encourages parishes to engage with its work in the coming years.
Resolution of Poole & North Bournemouth Deanery Synod, unanimously passed, October 2021
