Our main fundraising event, the Holes Bay Walk, took place on Saturday 11th July 2026. Following the opening of the new building at St John’s College, Wau in 2025 and the completion of the Water Project this year, we still need to keep raising money to support the college’s day-to-day work, sending £18,000 per year towards teaching staff salaries and running costs, as well as helping with other needs in Wau.
Many thanks to all those who took part, either in the 3-mile walk or Upton Country Park or in the full 7 miles around Holes Bay, and to the much larger number who sponsored those who did.
As reported in the August 2026 edition of our newsletter, climate change is likely to make very hot weather the norm for July in future years, so the PWP Trustees and Committee have set Saturday 24th April 2027 as the date for next year’s fundraising walk – put it in your diary now!
